About Me
In addition to my performance experience, I have also transcribed an extensive collection of flamenco music that is distributed internationally, and I have commissioned several new works for classical guitar. My patent for a new guitar capo (utility design) was granted in 2014, and I have served as a reviewer for Oxford University Music Press.
An Award Winning Performer
In October 2000, I won a regional Emmy® Award from the National Academy for Television Arts & Sciences for my original score in the PBS documentary, Indigenous Always. In addition, I have been recognized in both artistic and academic circles. Since 1985, I have been awarded public recognition certificates from the Drug Enforcement Administration of Chicago, Hispanic Fraternity; USA, Department of Veterans Affairs; Chicago, National American Red Cross, Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica; Loyola Chapter, Boys & Girls Clubs; Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Schools and the United Community Center; Milwaukee, for my contributions to the Hispanic community.
